Welcome to the Maryland Suburban chapter of NARPM. Our chapter is an association of professional property managers who specialize in managing single family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and small multi-unit buildings. Our members subscribe to a high standard of business ethics and professional standards. Our mission is to support the professional and ethical practices of rental home management through networking, education, and certification.
The Maryland Suburban chapter of NARPM was formed in 1995 as the Frederick County Chapter by three local members. Membership is limited to NARPM members who are licensed real estate professionals. As they began to grow, members from around the state joined the chapter. As the only chapter in the state of Maryland, we decided it was more suitable to change the name to the Maryland Suburban Chapter.
We cover the suburban areas of Washington, D.C. including Frederick, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Hagerstown,Germantown, Bethedsa and parts of Prince George's County. We have approximately 38 members in this area. Every other month we meet and have speakers on relevant issues and topics that affect us all, including legislative and judicial issues, maintenance, and technology. These meetings are extremely beneficial to professionals who deal with the concerns and problems of the residential property manager.
